Wow this is an excellent story that I really enjoyed. I think this is the best one in this series so far.I really loved Josie and Travis’s story. I could never imagine these two who wouldn’t even speak to one another in 8 years unless they had too and all Travis would do is taunt Josie because he was mad that Harley took her under his wing instead of him.Now they are forced to go be scouts to take a wagon train of women and children mostly back to Independence. Josie was asked first and Harley was trying to get her to say yes as it would be really good for her. There was no way Josie was going to be the scout of a wagon train when she didn’t know how and doesn’t want how to talk to people. She would rather stay at Harley’s Hole where she is just fine with her sisters and brother and the family.Travis on the other hand was eager to go because he needed something to prove to Harley and his brother and mostly Josie that he can do this and something he could be proud of.Harley talks Josie into going also because Travis seems to do wacky things at times. Harley want her to go to keep Travis under control.Now if you have read any of this series, you know nothing good can come of them doing this together? I sure couldn’t and it was a big surprised to see how this all comes out.This is such a good story I couldn’t put it down and read it straight through. It is really good and I highly recommend you read this story and all of the Wilderness Brides series.
This is one story I have been waiting to read. It didn't disappoint me either. Josie has been hurt in the past that left her emotions hardened and fearful. Josie has a lot of courage that has helped her through the years. This new adventure is a new challenge that she has to face. Travis has always given her a hard time and they both are so competitive with each other. Can they lead these people to their destination? Will their anger at each other get in their way or will the adventure cause other emotions and challenges?Wonderful story and as usual from this author so well written with adventure, suspense, surprises and clean romance.
Consistently, all of Peggy's books have a lot of substance; definitely not a cookie-cutter romance. There are many intertwining stories throughout this series, crossing over with her other series. Abundant character development, lots of character interaction with well-conveyed thoughts and emotions. Plenty of plot twists and turns to keep it intriguing. Insightful descriptions of the beautiful scenery, reflecting Peggy's physical interaction with and love for the countryside described in the book. I loved Josie and Travis's story, looking forward to Harley and Ada at Christmastime!
This was really a sweet story about Josie who had to overcome a tragedy that happened in her life. The story shows how she worked through her fears and overcame them so she could feel whole and love herself and her new husband. The author's stories are always with in depth characters that are so real I feel like I know them as real people. This book is a stand alone book but it also ties in with the series and also mentions characters from other book series-I love how the author does that-all the books are interwined together. a good read and would recommend
I always wondered if there would be a happy ending for Josie, who appeared in the three previous books of this series. A very satisfying romance with both Josie and Travis doing a lot of growing up in a hurry. A couple of tense situations occurred I'd never seen happen in Peggy's novels before, which made for fascinating reading. I'm glad to hear there will be at least one more novel for this series, which sounds like a story I will have no trouble relating to. Thank you, Peggy L. Henderson!
After purchasing this ebook, I settled in to read Peggy L Henderson's newest novel, knowing I would be thoroughly entertained by our hero, Travis and our heroine, Josie. Been following them as they became young adults in the past 3 books in this series. With a well written storyline, of family, romance, angst, and a little added suspense, the book kept me reading to their hard earned HEA. Looking forward to the 5th book. JudyE
I had been waiting for a long time for the fourth book in this series. The prior three books had been amazing, but I was most excited to hear about Josie's story. There were twists and turns and it was refreshing to see how Josie has overcome so much and grown into who she was meant to be. Peggy is an incredible author and you will love this book.
I really enjoyed Josie's Valor. It was excellent. Josie was physically hurt in a horrible way when she was younger. In the aftermath, it left her afraid of others and shutting herself away from others. It is a great story with a HEA.
