She has been involved with the College Board and AP testing in many capacities. For many years, Eliane worked as a consultant for the College Board, leading AP workshops, writing test items for the AP French exam, and authoring numerous publications for AP Central and the College Board. She participated for over 20 years with AP readings as a table and question leader and was on the committee to redesign the AP French Language and Culture exam. She has also recently served as lead trainer for the College Board Consultants in training teachers in the new AP French exam while also developing College Board workshop materials and workbooks.

I have been teaching AP French for 15 years and since the exam format changed 3 years ago, we, the teachers have been scrambling for resources. First of all, it's extremely well done: the practice exercises are in the exact same format as the exam, for the Free-response section (email, essay, conversation and cultural comparison) each exercise has suggestions of possible answers . I love the CDs that come with it, so convenient because many textbooks (AP French-Richard Ladd, APprenons, Allons au-dela) now come with a 1-year or 3-year internet access license. Two practice AP exams are included at the end of the book. I read some reviews that said that it was not enough---it's better than nothing because there is only ONE entire practice exam on the College Board AP Central website. If you are looking for grading rubrics and other details, go on AP Central. I highly recommend this book, for teachers and students alike!!! Works well for vocabulary, but the grammar is confusing because it doesn't offer you much information on how the words are used.

Well-constructed overview of the AP exam. Each section offers example test questions with exemplary answers. Oral practice and listening practice make use of CD portions. Two example exams allow for actual timed practice. Provided answers are helpful. Can be used by both teachers and individuals in preparation for the exam.

I'm a teacher and this is the best AP prep resource I have found so far for my students.
